My bat file is opening in chrome instead of opening in command prompt….. Can anyone help me to fix this?
Guys, when I double click the .bat file it seems to load for a second and then it closed automatically. Any ideas?

Make sure they are on the same drive
If so then turn this
1. Search python on your pc
2. right click “python 3.10 (64)” open file location
3. Repeat with the“python 3.10 (64)” there
4. scroll down to python.exe
5. right click and select COPY AS PATH
6. return to “webui-user.bat” 6:42
7. paste the path after “set Python=“

Quick question. What if my laptop isn't compatible with Stable Diffusion?
Ok i have a little problem, the download is getting stuck at the pytorch install and this ERROR is appearing : (ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement torch==2.1.2 (from versions: 2.2.0, 2.2.0+cu121, 2.2.1, 2.2.1+cu121, 2.2.2, 2.2.2+cu121, 2.3.0, 2.3.0+cu121)
ERROR: No matching distribution found for torch==2.1.2)
can someone help me please?
if anyone gets error 128 i solved it by moving all the stable diffusion files on the C drive where I had my python and git downloaded; not sure if being in the same hard drive or if it just has to be on the C drive, but it fixed it!

HELP NEEDED
I have a Windows 8 on my laptop and it said that Python 3.10.6 was not supported. So I installed an older version 3.8.10. Now when I double click on the webui-user.bat file it tells me that stable diffusion supports python 3.10.6 and I'm using an older version. Despite that it starts some process but doesn't complete it. And so I've been unable to do anything now.
Also since I'm very new to this it would be helpful if you explain in simple terms

Wait, what? You lost me after installing Gif and Python. Got the zip file, extracted and all that. Windows 10. 64x, and nothing. Cmd keeps doing a countdown and then it says fail and press any key to continue.

Looking for bit of clarification…not much of a coder. Having issue installing Stable Diffusion. Seems I originally had incompatible version of Python, but installed 3.10 according to notes after prompt. With this not still not getting the IP generated to install Stable Diffusion.

When trying to install stable diffusion I received the following error: RuntimeError: Torch is not able to use GPU; add –skip-torch-cuda-test to COMMANDLINE_ARGS variable to disable this check. As a novice computer user, this error message is gobble-de-gook so I don't understand this error message or how to fix it. Also, not sure if it matters but when using my task manager I saw the following: GPU 0 Intel UHD Graphics and GPU 1 NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060.

Im trying to install python but it keeps taking me to the folder in my files, anyone know what’s going on?
If the "System can't find Path" problem appears, Uninstall Python and reinstall it. Don't install Python standard. Install it on custom and check the "Install for all user".

'"git"' is not recognized as an internal or external command, but I did install it. it just doesn't work in cmd. I'm on win 10. and I even added a file path manually and restarted my pc.
